Iranian President removes top scientist from nuclear energy agency — — -Brussels (Brussels Morning) Iran’s new President, Ebrahim Raisi, removed the country’s top nuclear scientist from the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, appointing in his place a civil engineer with no previous experience of nuclear technology.

Iranian state media reported on Sunday that Raisi had appointed Mohammad Eslami as the new head of the country’s civilian nuclear energy authority, coming from the position of Minister of Housing and Transport.
