EU announces fresh aid in Middle East conflict — — -Belgium (Brussels Morning Newspaper), The EU says it is stepping up humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

On Friday, it issued a statement which said that this came “in light of the continued deterioration of the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.”

The commission said there had been a “steady rise of needs on the ground.”
